Job Duties and Overview:

• Conducting pre-shift checks and aiding with material handling system maintenance.
• Participate both individually and collectively in the accomplishment of Apotex’s 2010 Strategic Plan objectives.
• Following all Apotex Health and Safety policies and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), Apotex’s Safety Charter, and the department’s safety expectations and programs, as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Ontario).
• In a secure and compliant manner, you must use the proper MHE (Material Handling Equipment) to unload, verify, inspect, clean, sort, and receive all raw materials and, components into SAP.
• Recognize exception scenarios (such as under/over amount, damaged/contaminated shipments, etc.) and act accordingly (e.g., notify purchasing, launch investigations, etc.).
• Move products from the sampling and receiving area to their final destination.
• Deliver incoming items like as mail, paperwork, packages, stationary, etc. to the appropriate individuals or teams.
• Schedule dock visits for vendors in accordance with production priorities and available dock space, and report vendor compliance with the schedule to the procurement department.
• Maintain an adequate stock of materials for the warehousing and receiving areas, including shipping containers, pallets, seals, labels, and so on.

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

   

• Competent in both spoken and written English.
• Ability to operate Raymond and Cleco material handling equipment, as well as conveyors, is a plus.
• Able to perform intermediate-level computer tasks, such as using SAP modules for a variety of warehouse operations, accessing intranet databases, and so on.
• Availability to work overtime and/or different shifts as needed.
• Able to work safely at elevated heights, including climbing and descending ladders to access storage racks and using machinery.
