As the Support Officer [SES], it will be your job to provide top-notch, discreet administrative support for the operations team and its various volunteers and employees. Management of human resources, finances, records, and databases all fall under your purview as you assign priorities and keep an eye on processes. The position also requires monitoring for compliance with rules and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective service delivery to fulfill regional objectives, as well as coordinating SES medal and award nominations, official functions, diary management, and/or secretariat duties as needed.

Job Duties and Overview:
- The minimum requirements for government purchase.
- Experience with or familiarity with accounting, human resources, and financial database management and report generation preferred.
- Working or volunteering in a non-profit setting is a plus.
- The incumbent will required to engage in an on-call rotation outside of normal business hours in the event of an emergency. This could involve working irregular hours (such as a night shift), working on the weekend, or perhaps being deployed to a different section of the state or even another state.
- Ordinary hours for SES staff are from 0600 to 2200, Monday through Sunday,
- as per the Queensland Public Service Officers and Other Employees Award – State
- 2015. The successful candidate will be employed as a member of the SES workforce.
- Provid high-level administrative support by helping with departmental responsibilities such drafting, reviewing, and coordinating communications, reports, and other materials.
- Undertake general office duties, mail distribution, filing, diary control, travel plans and functions, maintenance of office equipment and asset records to ensure the successful operation of the office.
- Attend to uniform and equipment questions from employees and volunteers
- this involves receipting, ordering, and system maintenance to ensure inventory records are accurate and shipments are made.
Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate
- Compliance with departmental policy and procedures will ensured as you coordinate and process training records, human resource and finance administration tasks, and the complete administration process for SES Volunteer memberships.
- Support essential processes, procedures, and service delivery by liaising with and
- maintaining excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as members of the public and volunteers.
- Create, update, analyze, and report on business activities while providing operational support for maintaining records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Ability to set priorities, work independently, solve problems, make suggestions for development, and generally impress superiors is essential.
- Perform emergency and disaster-related support and administrative activities,
- which may necessitate activation and rostering at short notice and outside of normal business hours.
