Job Duties and Overview:

• Maintain the building’s and the sheltered people’s security both inside and out.
• Must maintain constant vigilance on the job to ensure the clients’ safety.
• Master the regulations of the building and make sure they are followed.
• Keep an accurate tally of shelter residents each night by supervising the registration process.
• Keep in regular communication with all of your contacts on a professional level. Reduce strain on the shelter system.
• Maintains both interior and exterior fire and security watches.
• Keep everything related to the program in good condition.
• Assignments may include indoor and outdoor cleaning, which must be coordinated.
• If necessary, direct the client to the proper department or social service agency and offer information and referrals.
• Keep accurate records.
• Be present at all required staff gatherings.
• Takes on any additional responsibilities that arise.

• Proven track record of offering high-quality case management services

   

• Able to work with difficult program participants in a constructive, solution-oriented manner
• Skilled in case management concepts such as motivational interviewing and trauma-informed treatment, and able to teach and demonstrate these concepts to others.

• Expertise in the role of supervisor.
