Job Duties and Overview:

• Maintains strict adherence to all Mattamy Construction Policies and Procedures.
• Helps keep an eye on the construction crew and the day-to-day operations of the trades, making sure everything runs smoothly and that deadlines, quality, and
• completion met. Coordinates routine meetings and/or toolbox talks between workers and tradespeople to relay information about production and safety goals.
• Performs site inspections to document any problems, verify that the Building Code is being followed, and check for compliance with the buyer’s Design Options and Extras.
• Maintains the standards of quality set out by Mattamy and the trade Scopes of Work tells the Superintendent what has to done to fix things.
• Complies with policy, plans, and specifications; takes the initiative to help solve problems when they arise on the project site or during construction (delays, poor quality, etc.).
• Helps keep track of production deadlines and goals, and manages the production schedule. Reinforces the need of timetable adherence (and supports where
• trade availability is causing issue), unwavering focus on Mattamy mission, and safety and quality standards.
• Coordinates and/or participates in required city inspections. Provides support to the Inspectors and the Superintendent during the review process and helps resolve any concerns that arise.
• Maintains a safe work environment and enforces applicable rules and regulations within the area of the position’s jurisdiction. When necessary, takes corrective action.
• Helps keep the building site tidy and pleasing to the eye by coordinating the efforts of other workers.
• Carried out extra duties as needed.

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction industry,
• including 3+ years of site management.
• Familiarity with building methods and techniques.
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of construction, including contracts, designs, specifications, materials, and codes. Includes familiarity with all relevant trades,
• personnel duties, timelines, and project scope.
• Competent in planning and organizing.
• Needs to be comprehensive and detailed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Prepared to do what it takes to get results, which includes being honest about problems when they come up.
• Strong customer focus and the ability to develop and maintain productive connections with a wide range of business associates.
• Possession of a valid Class G driver’s license and the availability to travel to different work locations as needed
