An Aviation Security Guard is needed by Allied Universal®. The Aviation Security Guard will be responsible for the security and safety of our client’s property and staff. The Security Guard is responsible for knowing and enforcing all site-specific policies and procedures, including emergency response operations.

Job Duties and Overview:

• Track and report any in-flight smoking
• Please notify us of any fluid (fuel, etc.) leaks.
• Equipment (such as locks, cameras, and monitoring stations) for security systems must inspected and checked on a regular basis.
• Using a portable card reader, airport security clearance can checked.
• Aeronautics Act and other airport regulation violations will investigated and dealt with accordingly.
• Passenger Transportation Board (PTB) crowd management and security.
• Assisting emergency responders with tasks like escorting rescue trucks onto the runway
• Helping members of the public by giving them access to resources (such as maps, brochures, etc.).
• Enforce the AVOP and issue citations for violations as needed.
• Help the Airport Section of the Local Police Department with Bomb Detection
• Use the Explosive Trace Detection Device (EVD) when necessary.
• If asked to do so by the local police and/or the AOCC, respond to alarms at the passenger screening checkpoint.
• Safeguarding of People and Their Possessions

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

• Requires a diploma or GED in addition to at least 5 years of relevant work experience or the equivalent.
• A current Class G license is necessary for clearance purposes.
• State and local rules and regulations will determine if any additional licensing is needed prior to hiring.
• Zero-Hour Training Requirement
• Superior abilities in communicating with and serving customers
• Use of cutting-edge, wireless technology at client sites; intermediate computer knowledge required.
• Possessing the composure and competence to deal effectively with emergencies at customer locations.
