Job Duties and Overview:

• Develop, oversee, and arrange leisure programs for inmates at a big correctional facility.
• When preparing activities for residents, consult with a variety of institutional personnel.
• Collect data on the offender’s hobbies, talents, and abilities in order to suggest, organize, and carry out leisure activities.
• Keep an eye on the cleaning of the institution’s gym, as well as the upkeep and inventory of all recreational equipment.
• Show up to mandatory gatherings.
• Make a number of reports.
• Ensure that recreational equipment records are kept.
• Arrange for all inmate populations to participate in leagues, tournaments, and holiday events.
• Keep track of recreational equipment and keep an inventory.

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

• EDUCATION: Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING: ZERO
• An Alternative to Formal Education: On an annual basis, relevant work experience in the fields of organized recreation, PE, or similar fields will be accepted instead of the necessary formal education.
• The mandatory college attendance requirement will be replaced year for year by current or previous military service.
• Only a general, honorable, or discharge under honorable conditions will prior military experience be accepted as a substitute.
