Job Duties and Overview:

• Treats the departed with dignity and cares for them during every step of the cremation process.
• Responsible for receiving decedent’s remains and ensuring full paperwork and positive visual identification.
• Performs all paperwork necessary for the cremation procedure and equipment upkeep
• cremation procedures are carried out in accordance with all local, provincial, state, and federal laws.
• follows all relevant guidelines and regulations
• Keeps track of the company’s records and any reports required by individual states
• Documents the entire chain of custody and keeps it safe
• Contributes to a risk-free workplace by following basic safety rules and teaching them to others
• Care for the crematorium and its associated machinery and buildings.
• Release/delivery of cremated remains to a funeral home or other appropriate authority
• Other responsibilities as assigned by higher-ups

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

• High school diploma or equivalent. Where required by law, you have graduated from an accredited college or technical school with a degree in funeral service or mortuary science.

   

• Apprenticeship experience of at least one to three months’ duration Certification/licenses

   

• To remove bodies, transport them, or deliver cremains, you need to be a state-certified crematory operator in possession of a valid driver’s license.

• Competent in operating and troubleshooting the fundamentals of industrial machinery
• Ability to effectively maintain relationships with all affiliates and/or third parties Basic knowledge of computers
• Possessing a high degree of integrity and compassion
• Competence in solving problems
• Able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
• Attention to detail
