Job Duties and Overview:

• Collaborates with other departments and the company as a whole to plan the future of cloud, edge, and data platform technology.
• Keeps up with technological developments, assesses new tools and technologies, considers trade-offs, alternatives, build vs. buy, etc., in order to pave the way for enterprise-wide adoption of best practices and standards.
• Creates, maintains, and advances the strategy and priorities of the company by way of a technological roadmap for the Cloud, Edge, and Data platforms.
• The individual in this role offers domain-specific and cross-domain technical leadership and direction to engineering teams.
• Ensures initiatives are delivered on time and under budget by serving as a technical advisor, escalation point, and project execution expert.
• Responsible for guiding the development, planning, and implementation of technological systems, platforms, and services in accordance with established norms and best practices in the field
• Collaborates with third parties to ensure the smooth launch of mission-critical software and infrastructure
• Ensures the platform’s observability, scalability, security, quality, and end-to-end automation while continuously improving DevSecOps capabilities.
• Makes sure that all change controls and technical governance policies followed, documents them, and reviews them regularly.
• Communicates with teams and functional partners to explain how value is created and what the business offers.
• Responsible for leading and participating in broader review boards to ensure enterprise-wide consistency in technology decision-making and the development of safe, scalable platforms and services

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

• A bachelor’s degree in an engineering or computer science discipline, or relevant work experience
• Experience in software engineering and technology spanning over a decade
• Highly esteemed by colleagues and superiors for my exceptional knowledge in particular areas
• Technical leadership, vision, problem-solving prowess, and sound judgement
• Proven track record of successfully implementing enterprise-level solutions, including the creation of blueprints and technological roadmaps
• that are in sync with the goals, strategies, and transformational ambitions of the company.
• Expertise in both established and new technology as it relates to the company’s operations
• Competence in setting and promoting standards, best practices, and directions for technology
• Proficient in creating cloud-based resilient designs that can accommodate active-active deployments, multi-regional failover, and high availability.
• Proficient in public cloud computing, database management, networking, and security stacks (GCP preferable)
• Proficient in public cloud infrastructure automation with IAC (with a preference for Terraform).
