Job Duties and Overview:

• Maintains all fleet vehicles and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to exacting standards through regular inspections and timely repairs.
• Repairs are made, including the possible overhaul of important components like the engine, gearbox, hydraulic pumpmotor, compressor, etc., based on the nature of the problems found in the system or sub-system in question.
• Uses technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and other reference materials to complete maintenance.
• Makes use of computerized maintenance record keeping systems for tracking fixes and tracking maintenance patterns.
• Performs documentation checks at the end of each shift and submits completed paperwork to the workshop office or as otherwise directed by management.
• maintains a clean workspace, strict tool management, and a focus on workshop safety.
• Maintains quality and safety while completing all other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned by the Department Head that are relevant to his or her job.

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

• Equivalent to a High School Diploma and Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required but no work experience necessary; minimum 1-year relevant work experience
• Essential: Secondary education or beyond (apprenticeship, certificate program)
• A valid driver’s license, either international or domestic
• Courses in Workshop Safety Awareness, Ramp Safety Awareness, and Basic Airside Driving are also obtainable.
• Master standard English in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
• Able to do comprehensive GSE/fleet vehicle inspections, repairs, modifications, and overhauls
• The ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and other technical documentation utilized for fault diagnosis and service purposes is required.
• Skilled in the overhaul of diesel and gasoline engines, automatic and manual gearboxes, drive train components, hydraulics, pneumatics, automotive electrical systems, automobile air conditioning systems, welding, and other drive-train repairs.
• The successful candidate will be able to conduct technical data investigation and create electronic maintenance logs.
  ability to tell apart between several kinds of common shop tools, machinery, supplies, and consumables
• Tires of all shapes and sizes (from miniature to extra-large, up to 1800R25) and all types (tube, tubeless, and solid) must repaired and replaced with ease.
• The ability to operate a pneumatic compressor, a nitrogen cylinder and gauges, a tire changing machine, and a tyre pressure cage is required.
• Capable of picking up and using maintenance software in the workshop for things like ordering parts and updating work orders.
