Job Duties and Overview:

• Assist students one-on-one or in small groups through the school day so that they can take part in all of the activities offered. This support should extend beyond the classroom as well.
• When it comes to health and safety, take the initiative.
• Help put students’ individualized education programs into action, establish a connection to their individualized education program goals, and
• track their progress toward those goals.
• Assist students in meeting their unique academic, physical, emotional, behavioral, and social requirements while also fostering their growth as communicators and social beings.
• Help the homeroom and subject teachers keep track of their students’ information.
• Get everything ready to help that student who needs it access or differentiate the material so they can learn.
• Encourage the student to work on their own by providing them with concrete and relevant strategies.
• Occasionally, if needed by the principle or head of inclusion, take on additional responsibilities.

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

• Maintain strict secrecy at all times; formally communicating with parents should be the responsibility of the Head of Inclusion, the
• Homeroom teacher, or the subject teacher.
• Help with schoolwork
• Following the teacher’s instructions for individual students or forming small groups if needed
  Showing off a range of teaching techniques
• Checking and revising individual pupils’ work in accordance with school policy while it is being worked on is part of monitoring tasks assigned by the teacher.
• Keeping each student and their classmates engaged
• Giving students positive reinforcement for their efforts and updating teachers on their progress
• Make sure to have the necessary materials on hand to support each student’s learning in class.
• Keeping an eye on specific students in a variety of settings, including regular classrooms, specialist classes, and extracurricular activities
• Collaborating on the creation of a school-wide policy for student conduct; fostering positive self-image among students; and enforcing rules for disruptive conduct
• Participate in and then implement SaLT, OT, and ABA interventions to aid in the generalization and consolidation of target skills, hence maximizing the efficacy of therapy.
• Make it to ECA, trips, and visits.
• It is possible to invite more seasoned IAs to act as mentors to less seasoned ones, and vice versa.
• Complete all additional tasks promptly as directed by supervisors and managers to whom you report directly or via the dotted line.
