Job Duties and Overview:
- Makes and receives phone calls in order to sell insurance policies to potential customers. Contacts current members and customers via phone calls in an effort to upsell and cross-sell related products. In charge of achieving personal goals in terms of business quality and sales. To keep tabs on how far along the path to success is, reviews and analyzes data such as sales statistics. Contributes ideas for how to boost sales to upper management.
- Completes insurance applications, provides quotes, and calculates premiums. Completes necessary follow-ups on pending or incomplete transactions.
- Follows management’s instructions and takes part in company retention events. Attempts to decrease the termination rate by contacting former members and clients in an effort to reinstate insurance coverage.
- Provides support for marketing efforts by preparing and sending out promotional materials, fulfillment orders, and enrollment forms to members and customers.
- Notifies members of new insurance products and incentives, as well as updates them on current offerings, prices, and availability.
- Assigns source code to keep track of incoming sales calls. Provides management with a monthly sales overview detailing sales data.
- Provides prompt, accurate, and professional responses to member and client requests and problems. If unable to remedy the situation, refers questions to the relevant resource.
- Keeps up-to-date on insurance products and sales strategies.
Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate
- An associate’s degree or above in business administration or a closely related discipline is required.
- One year or more of sales experience, ideally in the insurance sector, or a mix of relevant work experience and academic credentials
- Health and life insurance license is an asset, but it’s not necessary.
