Salary Operational Technology Technician job:

• CAD 15-25 per hour

Job Duties and Overview:

• Mining system installation, management, and upkeep including pit monitoring, fleet management, collision avoidance, and data collecting;
• Keeping up with licensing regulations and managing radio and paging networks
• taking care of the site’s transmission cabling, TVRO system, mesh radio network, and other systems as needed;
• Fiber optic and CAT termination testing, maintenance, and management of as-built documentation
• Fixing electronics and doing high-precision soldering as needed;
• Collaborating with Offsite Delivery teams to get the server room racked, stacked, and wired for production;
• Taking care of and managing mobile solar power units and fuel cell generators;
• Keeping the SAP Bill of Materials and Equipment List current;
• Providing support for warehousing systems’ lifecycle planning for spares maintenance;
• Helping with the upkeep and management of security camera and access control systems;
• Deploying Condition Monitoring infrastructure for Reliability Management Systems; Deploying WIFI infra-structures to support commercial and Operations Technology systems; Collaborating with OEMs to draft installation and scoping documents for projects.

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

• Possession of an interprovincial trade certificate or a degree or diploma in the field of online and digital technologies, instrumentation, or electrical engineering;
• Credentialing for Mesh Network Technology;
• Proficient in the following with 5-10 years of experience:
• Communication and radio equipment deployment
• Building administration
• Technology and data-oriented architectural leadership in the areas of definition, analysis, design, and delivery
• It would be helpful to have some familiarity with the following.
• The Rajant Business Cycle Manager (Hexagon CAS) and the Enterprise SM Tools
• RF, Coax, Fiber Optic, and CAT 5/6 Cable Terminations
• Installation and implementation of networking protocols (modbus, profibus, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, etc.)
• Multidisciplinary team project management
• Expertise in all aspects of IT, from infrastructure design to budget forecasting
• Having worked in Arctic environments before.

   

• Certified Fiber Optic Technician
• Expertise in Cloud Application Security Testing Level 2 (CAS TL2) and Edge Computing
