Due to the success of our South Australian business, we are currently recruiting MCU Operators to supplement our already stellar staff. Located at Olympic Dam, this role is residential in nature.

To supply and produce a high-quality product for blasting at the site, you would need to be well-trained and able to work safely in either an open cut or subterranean operation.

Job Duties and Overview:

• Adheres to the guidelines laid out in Our Charter as well as internal operating procedures and quality standards.
• Follows the SDS guidelines for the use, handling, and storage of hazardous materials and raw materials.
• Reducing and controlling waste helps keep environmental damage to a minimum. Documents and promptly reports any and all accidents and unusual occurrences
• Takes part in monthly safety meetings and daily toolbox briefings.
• The individual is responsible for keeping up with their own personal training in accordance with the Orica training Matrix as it pertains to their work.
• They are also ordered by their supervisor to carry out additional duties, such as providing relief at other sites, within their degree of competence.
• Provides support to the client in meeting goals and sustaining output Manages inventory, orders, and quality assurance in maintenance, among other administrative tasks
• Consistently delivers high-quality products and services while meeting client loading requirements
• Checks and fixes machinery to keep it running smoothly

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

• Validity for operating a heavy rigid vehicle
• Obtaining a security card and a license to handle dangerous commodities is a must.
• Dedicated focus on safety
• Capability to remain dedicated to FIFO and shift work
• Preference given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in mechanical settings or related fields
• The capacity to work well both independently and as a member of a high-performing team
