Job Duties and Overview:

• The member of the team will immediately, at the beginning of the shift, study the work schedule, check that the equipment and materials required to accomplish the job scheduled are available, comply with any regulations regarding personal protective equipment (PPE), and otherwise prepare for tasks.
• Prepare deli food according to the plan-o-gram (POG), including making sandwiches and subs, roasting or frying chicken and appetizers, heating soup and making pizza, transferring deli food to case containers, and labeling and selling the products.
• Attend to customers’ needs, such as slicing meat or cheese, weighing, wrapping, and labeling orders, and filling deli containers with food.
• Performs duties in the section of the store devoted to ready-to-eat lunch meats and cheeses.
• Produce product in accordance with the product order guide (POG) and the standard operating procedure (SOP) for the sales floor warmers and hot bar.
• It is important to thoroughly clean and sanitize all of the work surfaces, as well as the tools and equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
• Monitor and keep a record of loss with the use of known loss tracking (KLT).
