Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• Making daily rounds to various residential and commercial areas to collect liquid and solid waste, either by hand or with the help of an automated garbage truck.
• When called upon, operating an automatic garbage-disposal truck to raise trash cans and dumpsters.
• When required, crush or burn trash in a controlled setting.
• Gathering heavy electronics and furniture for proper disposal, either by appointment or at the curb.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment by removing debris from streets.
