Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• Among the many important responsibilities of the Senior Research Analyst are:
•  Assist the Urban Unit with their projects by providing technical support and carrying out their assigned activities related to transportation
• infrastructure planning, traffic engineering, demand estimation, and design and development.
•  Assist the Urban Unit with technical matters and complete assigned duties connected to public transport engineering and planning.
• As needed, offer technical assistance and complete assigned duties related to the design and review of temporary traffic management infrastructure, such as intersections and junctions, for various projects.
• Construct, evaluate, and install both temporary and permanent traffic signs as part of various projects; offer technical support as needed; and do other duties as assigned.
• In charge of, oversee, and offer technical assistance with the planning and evaluation of non-motorized transportation systems? Planning and administration of transportation infrastructure through the formulation of policies, programs, and plans
• Assist with technical matters and complete surveys to gather the most accurate, efficient, and cost-effective transportation data for use in traffic and transport management.
• Carry out traffic surveys at intersections, arterials, and corridors; analyze capacity using highway or other software as instructed.
• As needed, prepare procurement documents, prepare and submit bids, and evaluate them; perform other duties assigned to you in the course of business development for the unit and the transportation sector.
• To help with day-to-day operations, as assigned, prepare specifications for tenders and contracts, and/or lead procurement processes, including proposal analysis. Everything else that upper management may impose

Eligibility Criteria/About the Applicant

• Minimum of sixteen years of university-level education in a subject relating to transportation, traffic engineering, infrastructure planning, or a closely related field as approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC)
• Five (5) years of relevant experience after qualification is required.
• A background in transportation planning, traffic engineering, public transportation planning, parking, or related fields is preferred.
• It will be a plus if you have worked on transport planning infrastructure projects with candidates from multinational corporations or donor agencies.
