Job Duties and Overview:

• Enforce applicable provisions of the Public Health Act 1997 and Poisons Act 1971 within operational procedures and Departmental policy.
• Tobacco and electronic cigarette use, advertising, and sales are all subject to your jurisdictional authority as a Nominated Officer under the Public Health Act 1997.
• Part 4 of the Public Health Act of 1997 requires Nominated Officers to consult with businesses, local governments, event planners, tenants of smoke-free spaces, and other Nominated Officers on the implementation of smoke-free policies.
• Log compliance-related activities in a sophisticated database management system; advise the Senior Advisor Tobacco on how to improve the system.
