Cleaning and inspecting equipment at our Griffith location is part of your job description as a Coates Trades Assistant (Internally known as Equipment Maintenance Controller). As part of this process, we will be using test instruments and doing a few little repairs and changes. Reporting equipment damage and making sure equipment is ready, fit for purpose, and safe to hire are the responsibilities of this profession. Workshop mechanics and electricians rely on the Trades Assistant (often called the Equipment Maintenance Coordinator) to help them with routine maintenance and repairs so that they can concentrate on more intricate projects.

Job Duties and Overview:

• Complete a variety of yard tasks, including as spotting, loading, and unloading, to keep the yard in good condition.
• As it enters and exits the yard, including the spotting function, inspect and manage incoming and departing equipment.
• As part of the branch’s routine maintenance, use the Coates Maintenance application to inspect and fix small items.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly service area, yard, and workshop with your assistance.

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

• A valid driver’s license is required at all times, and a high-risk forklift license is an asset.
• Strong abilities in conveying ideas orally
• Proficient in using computers, time management, and organization; exceptional customer service abilities
• Maintain a healthy weight and familiarity with safety procedures
• Familiarity with mechanical equipment is an asset
• Getting to know JSEAs and Take 5s
