Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

  • Successfully completed Year 10 as measured by the Record of School Achievement (RoSA).
  • Ability to meet the academic and occupational demands of the traineeship through the use of appropriate literacy, numeracy, and digital
  • literacy skills. Minimum required level of computer literacy; familiarity with Microsoft Office is an asset.
  • Exhibited dedication to professional and personal development through training, with an emphasis on managing many, conflicting goals.
  • A passion for working in the water and sewer industry as an operator or maintenance technician.
  • Capable of meeting the position’s physical health standards, including basic manual handling, and having the willingness to operate in an outside setting.
  • Competence in collaborating with others.
  • Capacity to learn and comprehend Work Health Safety concepts thoroughly.
  • Get a valid Class C or Provisional driver’s licence from New South Wales and be able to rely on your own transportation.
