You will be in charge of supervising a crew of Senior Builders as they construct homes in various neighborhoods around the Division as the Construction Manager. Timely integration of all construction trades, materials, documentation, and staffing falls under your purview as a senior people leader for the division. Reporting to the VP of Construction, the Construction Manager supervises the delivery of clean, complete and deficiency-free houses while embracing our purpose of offering the finest homeowner experience.

Job Duties and Overview:

• Act in accordance with the four pillars of Mattamy’s culture: commitment, teamwork, sustainability, and community.
• To achieve continual improvement and succession planning, site managers need to coached, inspired, and developed using a variety of strategic ways.
• Check in with Senior Builders/Project Managers on a frequent basis to assess the state of ongoing projects and seasonal building plans.
• Proactively produce enhancements to existing reporting and data integrity, new ways of looking at old information.
• Find problems and develop solutions quickly by analyzing production data for patterns and trends.
• Construction drawings, Design Centre change choices, upgrades, and all Mattamy standards must followed to ensure that the finished homes or condominiums meet all criteria and specifications.
• Maintain a system of review and monitoring to ensure that quality control metrics for both materials and labor being met. Put in place the necessary enhancements or fixes.
• Monitor production schedules, critical routes for projects, and cost control to guarantee that homes completed on time and within budget.
• Maintaining a sufficient workforce at Community sites is critical to meeting home-building deadlines. Managing employees’ recruiting, evaluation, and performance is part of the job.
• Make it easier for Community hubs to share information with corporate. Facilitate the completion of work according to the Production Schedule and Mattamy’s standards and procedures by providing direction and support to staff.
• Create fruitful partnerships with your suppliers and contractors. Share the company’s expectations for performance and quality with all outside vendors and service providers. Make sure that those criteria being satisfied by conducting regular inspections of the job being done.
• Maintain communication with the Vice President of Construction regarding the status of each project and discuss the future of the project with the Senior
• Builder/Project Manager.
• Extra responsibilities as needed.

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

• Architectural, Business, Engineering, or Project Management degree or equivalent work experience and/or training preferred.
• Senior-level expertise in the home building industry for a minimum of 10 years
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; exceptional leadership and people management abilities; the ability to encourage and grow employees; and the
• capability to cultivate and maintain a wide network of contacts within the business.
• Superior capacity for planning and managing one’s time
