Job Duties and Overview:

  • Maintain proper accounting of funds and minimize the potential for fraud by following established financial procedures.
  • Payment processing for invoices and bills from the Embassy in a timely manner via the FCDO’s payment system;
  • Handling money and financial transactions;
  • In charge of the cash register

     

  • Getting bids in accordance with procurement regulations
  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices prior to payment.
  • Participates in the procurement and supplier maintenance processes as a requisitioner and receiver.
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of approved vendors.
  • Help ensure compliance by doing things like creating profiles for new suppliers and checking the status of current ones.
  • Obtaining products and services
  • Procurement processes point of contact for the rest of the Embassy

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in the financial sector.
  • Competence in managing and processing cash transactions.
  • Superior fluency in English as a means of expression. Competent in both oral and written communication, with an emphasis on clarity and conciseness.
  • Superior abilities in interacting with clients. Exhibits graciousness and thoughtfulness when interacting with others, both inside and beyond the organization.
  • Resourcefulness in solving difficulties and exhibits strong discernment.
  • Capacity to handle a number of competing demands at once and to adapt swiftly to new situations.
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel, which will be utilized for data recording and report generation, is a must.
  • Competencies, knowledge, and experience that are ideally suited One, you’ve worked with financial systems and budgets using Oracle before.
  • Budgeting and financial planning expertise is a plus.
  • Although those with Arabic language abilities will have an advantage, those without should not be discouraged from applying.
