This is what you’ll be up to:Fencing, tree management, and operating forestry machinery including tractors, chainsaws, wood forwarders, and winching are just a few examples of the hands-on work you may expect to do, both alone and in tandem with other staff and volunteers. Invasive species management, surveying, and general property upkeep are all part of the estate manager’s remit. To accomplish this, you will actively seek out and foster partnerships with nearby landowners and environmental groups.

To make sure everyone feels comfortable in the great outdoors, you’ll be interacting with visitors as a Ranger and spreading the word about our efforts. We need an individual who can work independently and has previous experience in outdoor settings.

Job Duties and Overview:

• Competent at communicating with guests and interested parties to help them appreciate your efforts.
• Play well with others. Have the ability to perform safely through the use of risk assessments and adherence to safety protocols
• Expertise in the administration of land, access, and conservation
• Knowledge of and experience with appropriate apparatus and equipment; possession of appropriate credentials
• Validity for use on UK roads
