Job Duties and Overview:
- Completes all tasks related to new patients in a fast and accurate manner, including intake paperwork, evaluations, orders, treatment plans, inventory of assets, nutritional screenings, progress notes, patient education, and the safe and efficient administration of medications.
- Quickly responds to escalating behaviors, uses de-escalation strategies to calm the situation, and correctly prioritizes safety issues in order to provide appropriate crisis intervention as needed.
- Makes good use of counseling skills by, for example, calming aggressive behavior, listening attentively without interrupting, speaking in an appropriate loudness and tone, offering numerous positive reinforcements, setting healthy limits, and encouraging a positive peer culture.
