Job Duties and Overview:

  • Assists the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and bringing the account’s spending under control Assists the Executive Chef in formulating meal plans and developing menus
  • Organizes and runs events that involve catering.
  • Introduces brand innovative culinary programs in collaboration with the marketing team and the culinary staff of the company

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

  • A.S. degree or experience that is equivalent to that
  • Some experience in more advanced positions of culinary or kitchen administration, depending on the official degree or training held.
  • Experience in catering is a definite asset.
  • Experience working in foodservice establishments with a large volume and a complex menu is very appreciated.
  • Helpful experiences include those in institutional and batch cooking.
  • In-depth familiarity with the latest developments in the food and catering industries, with a particular emphasis on issues of quality, production, cleanliness, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Experience with computers required, namely with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point), Outlook, e-mail, and the Internet.
  • Must be willing to participate in events and programs aimed at increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Certified in ServSafe: an extremely valuable qualification
