Job Duties and Overview:

  • Responsible for keeping in constant contact with the Engineering, Quality Assurance, Construction, and Operations teams to ensure that all work is done in a way that is technically sound and in accordance with the project’s goals, the Telecom and Security System’s requirements, and standard practice.
  • Directs the EPC Contractor’s Telecom pre-comm/comm activities and contract validation, ensuring that all resources (suppliers, subcontractors, staff qualifications, relevant tools) used effectively to achieve the project’s goals and that all specifications and requirements met. Guarantee that the CTR/SCTR follows all
  • Project SHES regulations.
  • Performs progress monitoring and reporting to drive assigned pre-commissioning/commissioning tasks; assesses and validates EPC Contractor’s procedures for
  • SIMOPS, Work under Permit, Partial Handover requirements. Manage the final steps and handoffs of a project.
  • Manages updates and redlines for deliverables in the Telecom discipline and provides field engineering support for pre-comm/comm operations as required.
  • Create interim mitigation plans as needed to ensure final completions and key milestones are met.

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

  • Ten years’ experience as a Telecommunications Commissioning Engineer, with a focus on LNG liquefaction facilities or other big Oil & Gas facilities, preferred.
  • Skilled in the preparation for and actual installation of field instrumentation like PAGA systems, CCTV networks, fiber optic networks, access control systems, local area networks, VHF and UHF TETRA networks, industrial wireless networks, MOVs, fence intrusion detection systems, OTN networks, active fiber optic monitoring systems, and Ship to Shore Link Systems (Trelleborg).
  • Proficient knowledge of Telecommunications installation best practices and International (ISA/IEC) Standards.
  • Proven familiarity with instrument calibration software and configuration settings.
  • Proven track record in systematization, completions database, and the creation of Telecom pre-comm/comm processes.
  • Competent leader with years of experience supervising contractor teams.
  • Prior database administration and management experience with Smart Completions preferred.
