As the holder of this demanding position, you will be responsible for providing assistance with the day-to-day operations of the transport operation, which will involve the use of roughly 80 tractor units and will complete approximately 110 deliveries each day. In addition, Wincanton maintains a workforce of one hundred twenty Drivers at the location.

Job Duties and Overview:

• This position reports to the Transport Shift Manager.
• Maintain daily transport records accurately and in accordance with corporate guidelines.
• Drivers are dispatched and debriefed.
• Statistics collection for transportation report writing.
• Constant communication with other retail outlets and distribution hubs
• Taking care of inquiries from warehouses and retail outlets
• Essential administrative work in accordance with transport laws, company policy, and standard operating procedures

Eligibility Criteria/About the Candidate

• Will be able to work any five shifts out of seven and am open to working any shifts that are needed
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to forge productive partnerships at all levels of an established transportation group.
• Possess an excellent telephone manner
• Possess an excellent head for numbers
• Dependable and on time
• Have a keen eye for detail to guarantee precise recording.
• Used to working under intense time constraints and pressure.
• Master the use of personal computers.
